Lisa Pay is a very successful Australian artist and her patterns and kits are hugely popular. It was only at the beginning of this year (2004) when I decided I wanted to try and make something totally different and 'found' Lisa's dog patterns on the internet. I was delighted when I found that Emmary Bears were going to stock some, including the two I really wanted to try - Scribble just looked irresistible and for a first effort, I think he turned out quite well and my biggest problem was in trying to find a reasonably priced dog collar!
I have more Lisa Pay patterns both for dogs, cats and bears, when I have tackled another pattern [(whether I use specially matched fabric or the fabric I have), I will put photos here for you to see.
| SCRIBBLE I got this as a kit from Emmary Bears. Initially the pattern looked quite complicated but actually it was not as difficult as I thought. The trick was not to be overwealmed when you look at the pattern and instructions. Since this photo was taken I have removed and replaced the ears higher on his head, see picture below, it does make him look better. |

| SUGAR I got the pattern for Sugar from Emmary Bears but decided to use supplies from my own stocks. I spotted very little difference between this and the Scribble pattern, but using different fabric , the finished dog definitely looked different from the pattern photo.. |

This is the basic 'Sugar' pattern which I 'tweeked' because I wanted to see what a standing version would look like. This dog was made from synthetic fabric. I hope to make one from mohair as I am sure it will look even better. |
