THE LIBRARY COLLECTION
Welcome to my latest book offering. This is another
book shape made from paper mache although it is the smallest of the three sizes
I have seen available in hobby shops. This one measures just 5 3/4" x 6 3/4"
approximately
Like the SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS book, this also needed to be painted on the outside - I used the acrylic paints in my 'stock' of craft stuff. Also I felt I could split the inside into two sections and use the inside of the front cover for some text.

In London at the moment, there seem to be a fair number of fast food and take away shops offering freshly made sushi and similar items (all of which have their own names). This 'book' is my hommage to them!
As you can see, the eating section above is the kind you stand at to eat having purchased your choice from the options in the refrigerated unit below.
For those of you who have already visited my site previously and view the SUSHI BAR, I can tell you that all the bears and the sushi I used in this project were originally made for that and I am really delighted to have used most of the kimono wearing bears. I still have one left, which is actually the first one I made.
I created the refridgeration unit, the standing table units and the wall decoration above them. For anyone interested, I created the design on parchment by embossing and punching holes for my design then I placed it onto red card which I then placed on black card to match the background card on the inside front cover.
What appears okay when you make it can often looked a lot worse when you see it in close up. Thus you will see the front of the refridgeration unit definitely looks 'wonkey'. Had I realised this problem prior to fixing it in place, I am sure I would have tried to sort this out, but hey ho, this is meant to be a 'fun' piece and although it is the only one of its kind, these little imperfections make them even more unique.
