I thought the prototype Miyo and the kit photo version were just incredibly cute and was keen to try and make one for myself. However as you can see from the photo above and the one at the end of this review, mine did not come out looking the same.
Whilst I was disappointed at not having made one that looked like the kit photo, I thought there was nothing wrong with my version and I was delighted with the way I had done the nose. I think this is the first time I have embroidered a nose this shape!
Sewing up bears with longer fur is not something I do very often. However all the pieces fitted together easily and I did enjoy making it up.
You will be able to see that I decided not to make the paw pads up with the fimo included in the kit, [you can see on the kit photo what it is supposed to look like] because I was not convinced I would do a good job. Rather than spoil it, I chose just to leave them plain.
I think if a beginner were to make up this bear, even if they also did not use the fimo for the paw pads, they would be delighted with what they could create. It looks very complicated, but is not.
